Welcome to the METROFIT™ Nutrition Program. Our goal is to help you achieve a healthy lifestyle. We offer nutrition management for weight loss and chronic diseases. At METROFIT™ your success is our top priority. We offer a wide range of diet style choices and work with you to find the diet that best fits your lifestyle. Our Registered Dietitian* will ensure you receive medically sound nutritional advice.
A patient admitted to the METROFIT™ Nutrition Program is required to make a formal 6-week commitment. Nutritional sessions are provided once a week. The METROFIT™ Nutrition Program will include the following;
1) Nutrition assessment and dietary recall
2) A specialized diet to fit your personal schedule
3) Nutritional education and self management techniques
4) Regular email and telephone contact with our Registered Dietitian to ensure compliance with the program
5) Weekly Weigh- in
6) Weight reduction
7) Exercise suggestions
8) Calculations to help establish realistic ideal body weight
9) Free maintenance program upon reaching ideal body weight
10) Tips to enhance grocery shopping and cooking techniques Additional Programs Include:
• Diabetes/insulin management
• Nutrition therapy for anorexia and bulimia
• Renal nutrition therapy
• Diets tailored individually for gastro-intestinal diseases
POSTNATAL NUTRITION PROGRAM
Having trouble losing that baby weight? Due to popular demand METROFIT™ now offers a postnatal nutrition program. Our team of specialists will help you get back to your prepregnancy weight. Our postnatal nutrition program offers;
• Group sessions for postnatal mom’s (babies welcome)
• Diet plans tailored to the nursing mom
• Regular email contact with Registered Dietitian to ensure compliance with program
• Free maintenance program once you have achieved ideal body weight
• Nutrition assessment and dietary recall
• Specific diet made to fit your personal lifestyle
* The term Registered Dietitian indicates the individual has attained a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in nutrition from an accredited college. They must then complete a one year Dietetic internship in a hospital. After completing all the requirements, the individual is eligible to sit for the state approved registered dietitian exam. Upon passing of the exam, the individual may call themselves a “Registered Dietitian” and become registered with the American Dietetic Association
